Posting Summary

Purpose of Job:

 

To drive profitable sales growth within the UK office products wholesale channel. Manage ACCO’s relationship at all levels with 2 wholesale accounts, developing and converting sales opportunities.

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Tasks.

  • To be the lead for a number of specified accounts
  • Build strategic business plans, hold quarterly reviews and develop promotional activities to achieve the overall strategic goals and objectives
  • To be responsible for delivering total sales and margin by negotiating relevant term and conditions and pricing
  • Develop a category management approach to defend categories and drive sales growth
  • With the support of the Country Manager, negotiate and manage the annual agreements including any promotional programme, rebates and contributions to maximise ACCO’s return on investment.
  • To recognise and convert profitable sales opportunities and liaise with appropriate colleagues to grow the wider ACCO business
  • Working with customers to understand and deliver an accurate sales forecast / outlook
  • To understand the NPD and existing category portfolio, building a strategic plan for product selection and catalogue production
  • To monitor, communicate and implement activities that reduce the impact of competitor actions
  • To lead customer projects and initiatives with full engagement of internal stakeholders
  • Monitor service levels and ensure that customer KPI’s are met
  • In conjunction with the Marketing Manager for ACCO UK & Irealnd, to lead and implement the tactical marketing plan with designated accounts

Posting Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree qualified (marketing, business or psychology preferred) with aptitude for customer facing activity and consumer marketing.
  • Strong commercial aptitude
  • Proven experience in a senior sales Account Management or Channel Management role
  • OP industry/product experience preferable
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Excellent user of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills
