Posting Summary

Purpose of Job:

 

Given the expansion of the European product marketing teams’ scope, we are creating a new role within the team to support the team with increased workload.  This role will suit an individual who has recently graduated and has 2-3 years product management/marketing experience and is looking to join a dynamic team with genuine career growth opportunities.

 

Reporting to the Senior European Product Manager this position will be responsible for supporting the current European Regional product management team for the Kensington & Leitz Complete product ranges.  Once an established and performing member of the team, this position will have the opportunity to manage their own product ranges.

 

The role will be engaged all aspects of regional product management such as, new product introduction process e.g. ERP setup, sales presentations, sales training, collecting & analysing data, market and pricing analysis, building forecasts, demand generation activities, handling day to day queries across the product range.

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Tasks:

 

  • Contribute to creating the right Go to Market strategy and marketing mix (pricing, promotion, channel placement, messaging) to ensure Kensington's business meets its sales targets.
  • Contribute to annual strategies & plans via cross functional teams to deliver category financial & growth targets.
  • Support the European RPM team with product administration processes e.g. coordination of 1st article sample distribution and signing off product data.
  • Build out initial inventory forecasts, and support the forecasting process with the Supply Chain team.
  • Ensure products are properly setup within our ERP systems. 
  • Support sales efforts with presentations, product training, samples and field support as required
  • Identify business threats and opportunities (SWOT) based on market and competitive analysis. Work with global product & channel marketing managers to develop and implement plans to minimize threats and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows and channel events to provide product expertise and participate in press events & press tours to evangelize new products & category strategy.
  • Support the New Product Introduction Process into the EU market place. 
  • Work on initial price position and make recommendations.
  • Working with the central marketing (channel & communications) team, support development and approve messaging and copy for packaging, PR, Web and collateral.
  • Working with the channel marketing team, build launch plans and tools to successfully introduce new products into all channels.
  • Establish and communicate end of life strategies including transition plans from old to new

Posting Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree level ideally within Marketing
  • Relevant experience in a previous or current product marketing / management role from a B2B/ B2C sector (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience in project management
  • Business Level English, a 2nd language is an advantage, but not compulsory
  • Must be able to demonstrate analytical & commercial reasoning skills
  • Must be a self-starter with a professional, driven attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Must have be able to work well across teams and have good communication skills
  • Time management skills - ability to organize work, manage time, and work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Previous experience of operating within an CRM (e.g. SFDC) environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate product, marketing and design objectives
  • Must be technology savvy - understand and be familiar with current technology trends including how consumers use technology for both personal and business uses. 
  • Ability to read and manipulate excel data.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills – the ability to present at all levels (both internally and externally).
  • PC literate with Excellent PowerPoint, Excellent Excel and Word skills
