Posting Summary

We are currently looking for a talented and charismatic Business Development Manager to join our Team in the UK. Working in our Rapid Tools division - professional tools for building & construction as well as devoted renovation, repair, decoration and hobby work at home.


This is a field based role selling Rapid Tools products in the UK to local and national clients. Covering all of the UK.

The role reports directly to Sales Manager.



Your responsibilities:

  • Meet individual monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Work with direct accounts, National accounts and Wholesales accounts within you territory.
  • Identify prospective clients in your territory using a variety of online and offline resources.
  • Report all on-going client contact and sales activity.
  • New business development.
  • You will visit a defined number of customers / prospects each week on a constant and regular basis
  • You will negotiate pricing with both current and new customers on an annual basis.
  • You will communicate and implement marketing and promotional plans to your customer base.
  • Catalogue selection and products portfolio development.
  • You will liaise and train our wholesale and local customer base on our products.
  • Identify and develop new routes to market.

  • First-rate communication and presentation skills with the ability to sell to the most desirable of businesses in your territory at all decision-making levels.

  • Excellent listening skills and be able to gain trust and confidence of customers.
