Posting Summary

Purpose of Job:

  • Office-based admin support for the Sales Director
  • Sales support for a team of 11 account managers
  • Customer support – outbound and inbound calls

Principle Accountabilities and Key Tasks:

  • Follow up any action points whilst account managers are travelling managing any day to day product and account issues.
  • Category management reporting from customers POS data
  • Communicate special offers and new product introductions to customers through launch packs, direct mail and email (+telephone communication)
  • Handle all departmental correspondence
  • Organise samples and literature to be sent to customers.
  • Collation of competitor information
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external presentations.
  • Communicate sales activity to the sales team and other Business Units including the Product Teams and Customer Services
  • Support Annual Catalogue selections providing data and information, completing new product forms, images and text etc. to the relevant Account Manager or Customer
  • Help co-ordinate Exhibitions/Conferences - monitoring all aspects in the run up to the event (some attendance may also be required involving out of hours/weekends)
  • Raising Purchase orders, track and code invoices where applicable & goods receipting
  • Update monthly sales reports and manage the reciprocal data from customers, to allow greater visibility of the company performance within the channel
  • Any other duties that ensure the smooth running of the team
  • Administrative support for the Sales Director to include general admin, catering, meeting rooms, holidays & holiday planner, printing/binding etc.
  • Travel & hotel arrangements for Sales Director and other members of the team

Set up process and inductions for new starters

Posting Qualifications

  • Very good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Good organisation and problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • An individual with a high degree of self-motivation with the ability to operate effectively under pressure. Must be a team player.
  • Good general level of education
  • Must be numerate and literate

Ability to work on own initiative
